Finding pet-service industry-specific blogs can be a challenge. So I wanted to offer a quick list of blogs that can help inspire and advise any veteran or newbie in the business.
1. Dog Star Daily
I’ve followed Dog Star Daily for years. Dr. Dunbar is a legend in the dog training industry: he’s written books, released courses on Udemy, and even has a podcast. His work about dog biting has been influential. So naturally he’s one of the first people who come to mind if someone ever asks for a good source about dog training, behavior, and puppies.
Dog Star Daily is his blog and it’s been active for years. They are constantly giving up-to-date information on dog training and behavior topics. I can’t imagine how many people have been helped by Dunbar’s work. I highly recommend this blog to people in the pet industry and dog owners alike.
2. Heidi’s Hounds
Heidi knows pet care service and she knows premium, high-quality pet care at that. That’s why I love her blog as she shares valuable pet-care advice. I can only imagine how much her clients appreciate her and her blog content! Definitely check her out- even if you’re seeking business advice, you’ll no doubt find inspiration and a model of good quality made for her specific audience.
3. The Daily Bark
The Daily Bark provides more insight into the world of running a pet business. What’s great is that she writes about grooming, training, boarding, and dog walking services so most pet-industry service workers will find something meant just for them here!
4. K9 of Mine
One of my favorite things this blog offers is their “Ask a Vet” virtual pet service. I’d recommend bookmarking this site for that alone. But it has more value-packed info to enjoy too. From dog food, treats, and nutrition advice to their recommended curated lists of dog gear, this quality blog offers a lot of cool info to please most dog-lovers.
5. Pet Marketing Unleashed
This is an awesome blog for business owners who need help in marketing their business. Take heed of their advice as they literally create websites and branding as their day job. They know what’s up and their blog only proves it. Take advantage of their free insight!
